Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelsey Adams.
Kelsey, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I have always been interested in photography. Even when I was little I had a camera in my hand. I also had a knack for telling stories with my words. So, when it came to creating imagery I always tried to combine the two. When I graduated high school I went to the University of Oregon to learn about Journalism. I wanted to be a photojournalist, actually. After spending time with that and battling that in my head I decided to attend the Art Institute of Portland to learn the more commercial side of photography. There I learned the basics all the way back to the beginning of photography. Before I graduated I started my own company in real estate photography and over the years I have evolved into an architecture photographer. I work with all sorts of clients from still my base of real estate agents to architects to builders and interior designers. This is my 14th year of running my own business and I can’t wait to see what’s next.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been a smooth road. owning your own business is a huge learning curve and it takes a lot of determination. Not only are you the boss, but you’re everything that goes into running a successful business.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in architecture photography to help my clients build their portfolio and online presence. Pride for me can come in different levels.
Lately my pride has been in making time for myself rather than only for my business. I’m also very proud of the relationships I have built over the years with my clients. They are some of the best people on the planet. And I think that’s what sets me apart from others. Sure, I can do a great job showing your work – but I can also make you laugh!
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
Call me and have a conversation about how I can help you. However big or small the project is, I’m willing to talk it through to help you. If not, then sharing my work with others is always welcome.
