Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelsey Hardin.
Hi Kelsey, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I worked front desk at a hair salon in college and LOVED IT. So naturally, I decided to attend hair design school myself. I ended up assisting for 6 months right out of cosmetology school and then ended up going completely independent. Over the years I have mastered the art of extensions and now currently am an educator for them myself.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I have been really lucky, which I am SO thankful for. I didn’t give myself the option to not be successful I just grinded and continued to but my whole heart into the industry.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Hairstylist who specializes in Concealed bead extensions, luxury color and high impact blonding. I am most proud of my ability to install extensions seamlessly, while creating high end results.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I think risk taking builds character. You never know till you try! I think going independent 6 months out of school was slightly risky, but I also thrive on pressure. I think that is a big reason for my success, I had no option!
