Inspiring Conversations with Joy Gomez, Ashley Tyler and Sara Harris of ThePnwCollective

Today we’d like to introduce you to JOY Gomez, Ashley Tyler and Sara Harris.

Hi JOY Ashley Sara, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
The PNW Collective began organically.

Ashley and Joy started out as solo practitioners who found themselves working alongside each other and naturally building a collaborative rhythm. Over time, Sara joined the space, bringing her own healing approach and energy.

Together, we realized we shared a common vision: creating a supportive healing space where multiple practitioners could work both independently and collectively while serving our community.

So, we made it official.

Today, we operate as The PNW Collective — a shared wellness space rooted in collaboration, care, and holistic healing.

While we work together as a collective, each practitioner maintains their own independent practice:
• Mystic Owl Massage — Joy
• Restorative Massage — Ashley
• Embrace Kindness Bodywork — Sara

The PNW Collective allows us to support one another while offering our community a diverse range of healing modalities in one welcoming space.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Finding a place to lease , that probably was the biggest thing. Places around Albany aren’t really priced out for the little businesses so that took some time

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about ThePnwCollective ?
We realized we all shared the same vision to create a healing environment where practitioners could support one another while helping our clients find relief from pain and tension.

Each of us brings our own approach and specialties, but we all focus on pain management through thoughtful, therapeutic bodywork. We use a variety of modalities such as cupping, positional release, and deep tissue work always with the intention of being effective without causing unnecessary pain.

One thing that truly sets us apart is the environment we’ve created. Our space is designed to feel welcoming, calming, and human, not clinical or sterile. We believe healing happens best when people feel comfortable, respected, and safe.

The PNW Collective is also proudly a safe and inclusive space for the LGBTQ+ community. Everyone deserves to feel seen, supported, and cared for while receiving bodywork.

Above all, we care deeply about what we do and how our clients feel both during their session and long after they leave.

What were you like growing up?
I do believe all three of us were wild child in the best way exploring and always interested in the how and why . Thats probably why we are fascinated with anatomy.
