Today we’d like to introduce you to Dave Beck.
Hi Dave, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Well it started as a dream. I was a journeyman electrician. My dad was retired from the mill. I installed a lift for personal use at my house. Shortly after, We had some friends ask us if we would work on their stuff. We have always loved building and fixing cars. What started as just a father and son fixing friends cars soon turned into a full business. We registered Double D’s automotive with the state of Oregon. At one point in time, we had 4 people working out of 1800 square ft shop. After a few years, we were so busy and back logged, we decided to find a commercial space. We now operate out of a 10,000 sq ft building with 7 lifts, and 7 employees. We do anything from hot rod restoaration to generall automotive repair on most makes and models. And we offter teh best warranty in the valley. 7 year 77000 miles. We understand how important everyones vehicles is and we realized that there arent enough shops that truly care. I make sure my employees are treating each vehicle like grandmas or their daughters.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has been fairly smooth. Some struggles would include jsut getting our name out more. I talk to people all of the time that havent heard of us.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We create a bond with our customers and really want to help them with inconviences of car troubles. Wether they needs a ride, want to hang out with us in our newly remodeled waiting room or any other issues, we just want them to feel good and taken care of. We truly are a family here and want to make sure to take care of
