Life & Work with Julieta Arredondo, MSN, FNP-C of Lake Oswego

Today we’d like to introduce you to Julieta Arredondo, MSN, FNP-C.

Hi Julieta, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My healthcare career began while I was playing Division I soccer at Oregon State University. As an athlete, I developed a deep interest in preventative medicine and the science of keeping the body strong and healthy well into later adulthood. I earned my undergraduate degree in Health Management and Policy while completing my nursing prerequisites.

After graduating from Oregon State, I received a full academic scholarship to the University of Arizona, where I completed my second undergraduate degree in Nursing. I spent the first ten years of my career working as a bedside nurse along the U.S.–Mexico border, providing compassionate care to underserved communities.
Working through the pandemic and witnessing the devastating effects of COVID-19 strengthened my commitment to addressing illness at its root cause. Motivated to make a broader impact, I pursued my Master of Science in Nursing and, in 2022, became a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

In 2023, shortly after earning my board certification, I founded Vitále IV Medical Clinic—a passion project created to bridge the gap between conventional and integrative medicine. While continuing to practice in urgent care and primary care settings, I expanded my studies in functional and regenerative medicine to better understand and treat the underlying causes of chronic disease.

Vitále IV is a wellness and longevity clinic focused on evidence-based, preventative medicine that reduces oxidative stress, corrects nutritional deficiencies, decreases systemic inflammation, restores metabolic function, and optimizes hormonal balance. By addressing these core drivers of illness, our mission is to help patients restore vitality, slow the aging process, and live longer, healthier, and more vibrant lives.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road—starting a business from the ground up has been one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences of my career. I’ve learned every step along the way, from clinical operations to marketing, compliance, and patient education. The challenges of launching and running a medical practice are truly endless, and I’m constantly fine-tuning every aspect to create the best possible patient experience.
One of the biggest hurdles has been blending the worlds of conventional medicine with naturopathic and functional approaches. Striking the right balance between clinical science and holistic healing requires continuous learning, collaboration, and an open mind—but it’s also what makes the work so fulfilling. Each challenge has strengthened my vision for Vitále IV and deepened my passion for redefining what preventative health can look like.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in regenerative medicine. Unlike traditional primary care models that often rely on medications to manage symptoms, my approach focuses on helping the body heal and restore balance so patients can achieve long-term health rather than temporary relief.
At Vitále IV Medical Clinic, I’m best known for my work in peptide therapy and IV nutrient therapy—two powerful modalities that support cellular repair, optimize longevity, and prevent chronic disease. What sets my practice apart is our commitment to using advanced, evidence-based treatments beyond the standard “wellness” drips. We offer therapeutic IV formulations such as phosphatidylcholine, methylene blue, high-dose vitamin C, and iron to address root causes of inflammation, oxidative stress, and metabolic dysfunction.
I’m especially proud of our specialization in peptide therapy, an emerging field that’s often misunderstood or inconsistently applied. Peptides act as signaling molecules or messengers within the body—regulating everything from immune function and cellular repair to cognitive performance and metabolism. By using these naturally occurring compounds strategically, we can stimulate the body’s innate healing pathways and truly redefine preventative medicine.

What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is providing personalized, results-driven care. Every patient is unique, and their treatment plan should reflect that. My goal is for each patient to feel noticeably better with every visit—because if you’re not improving, then something in the plan needs to change.
I take the time to understand the underlying causes of each person’s symptoms, using advanced functional labs and diagnostic tools that aren’t typically offered in conventional primary care. Educating patients is also a major priority; when people understand how their bodies work and what’s driving their symptoms, they can take an active role in their healing journey. For me, success means finding the right solution for every individual—restoring not just their health, but also their confidence and vitality.
