Today we’d like to introduce you to Melissa Lopez.
Hi Melissa, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my journey in the beauty industry in 2021 when I took my first lash course. At the time, I didn’t fully realize how much it would change my life—I just knew I wanted something more for myself. In 2022, I enrolled in beauty school, and by 2023 I graduated and fully committed to building my career.
The beginning wasn’t easy. I worked long days and late nights, constantly practicing, learning, and trying to grow my clientele. There were moments of doubt, but I stayed consistent and focused on improving my skills and creating an experience that went beyond just lashes.
In 2025, I opened my own salon, Glamorous Beauty Studio, with a vision of creating a luxury, welcoming space where both clients and artists feel valued, supported, and inspired. My goal has always been to provide not just high-quality services, but an environment where people feel confident, relaxed, and truly taken care of.
Today, I continue to grow not only as a lash artist and hairstylist, but also as an educator. I’m passionate about helping other artists build strong foundations and confidence in their craft—because I know what it feels like to start from the beginning and wish you had more guidance.
My journey is really about taking a chance on myself, staying consistent, and building something meaningful from the ground up—and I’m just getting started.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
In the beginning, one of my biggest struggles was feeling like I didn’t know enough. After my first class, I realized how much was missing especially when it came to retention, technique, and confidence. I had moments where I questioned if I was good enough or if I was doing things the “right” way.
Building a clientele was another challenge. There were long days where I would sit and wait for bookings, while also trying to show up consistently on social media, improve my skills, and stay motivated. Financially, it was also a learning curve, investing into education, products, and my business before seeing consistent income wasn’t easy.
As I grew, different challenges came. Stepping into salon ownership brought a whole new level of responsibility, filling spaces, handling unexpected situations, and learning the business side beyond just being an artist.
But every struggle pushed me to grow. It taught me resilience, discipline, and how to truly show up for my clients and my business. I think the biggest lesson is that success in this industry isn’t about having a perfect path it’s about staying consistent, being willing to learn, and not giving up on yourself even when it feels hard.

Glamorous Beauty Studio was created with the vision of redefining what a beauty experience should feel like. It’s not just about the service, it’s about how you feel the moment you walk in. I wanted to build a space that feels like a breath of fresh air: elevated, welcoming, and intentional in every detail.
We offer a full range of beauty services including luxury lash extensions, customized facials such as HydraFacials, brow services, hair services like blowouts, customized color, and luxury hair extensions, as well as other beauty treatments. While we are a full-service studio, I’m personally known for my expertise in lash artistry, especially creating customized sets that not only look beautiful but also prioritize the health of the natural lash.
What truly sets us apart is the level of care and consistency we provide. For me, it’s never “just lashes” or “just a service.” It’s about creating an experience where clients feel seen, heard, and taken care of from start to finish. I’ve built my brand around dependability, quality, and a luxury standard that clients can trust every single time they come in.
Another thing that makes our studio unique is the environment we’ve created not just for clients, but for the artists who work here. I’m passionate about building a positive, supportive space where beauty professionals can grow, feel inspired, and elevate their careers.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of how intentional everything has been. From the services we offer to the products we use, everything aligns with our mission of delivering high-end results while maintaining integrity and care. I’ve also stepped into education, which is a huge part of my brand helping other artists build confidence and strong foundations, because I know firsthand how important that is.
I want readers to know that Glamorous Beauty Studio is more than a salon it’s a space built on passion, growth, and genuine connection. What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
In the beginning, I thought I needed to have everything figured out before I could grow. Perfect work, perfect content, perfect timing. But I quickly realized that growth actually comes from showing up, even when you feel unsure or not fully ready.
There were so many moments where I doubted myself or felt like I wasn’t where I “should” be, but continuing to stay consistent whether that was practicing making lash extension fans, showing up for my clients, or investing in my education made all the difference.
I’ve also learned the importance of trusting yourself. Not every decision will feel clear or easy, especially when you’re building something on your own. But learning to listen to your intuition and take that next step anyway is what creates real growth.
If there’s one thing I stand by, it’s that success isn’t about doing everything perfectly it’s about showing up with intention, staying committed, and being willing to evolve along the way.
