Life & Work with Nicole Quispe of Springfield

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Quispe.

Hi Nicole, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I didn’t start out with a clear roadmap… honestly, a lot of my journey has been shaped through real life experiences, challenges, and learning as I go. Early on, I found myself drawn to people… understanding them, supporting them, and creating spaces where they could feel seen and safe. That naturally led me into opportunities where I could serve, lead, and grow in those areas.

A big part of my story is my sobriety… I’ve been sober for six years now. That journey has been life-changing for me. Through my involvement in Celebrate Recovery and staying connected in church, I’ve built a strong foundation of accountability, faith, and community. Those spaces didn’t just support my healing… they also helped shape how I show up for others today… with empathy, honesty, and compassion.

Along the way, I’ve walked through personal challenges that deepened my perspective and strengthened my ability to connect with people in a real way. Instead of those moments holding me back, they’ve become part of what drives me and gives purpose to what I do. I’ve continued to invest in growth, both personally and professionally, and I’ve been intentional about stepping into roles that stretch me and allow me to make an impact.

Where I am today is a result of that ongoing process… showing up, staying committed, and being willing to grow. I’m passionate about helping people move forward, and I bring both lived experience and a strong sense of purpose into the work I do. I’m still learning and growing, but I’m confident in the direction I’m headed and the value I bring.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My journey has included overcoming addiction to drugs and alcohol, and I’ve now been sober for six years. I’ve also walked through significant challenges in my marriage, including my husband’s infidelity, which deeply impacted me but also led to growth and healing. Through Celebrate Recovery and staying connected in church, I found support, accountability, and a stronger foundation in my faith.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My work has focused on supporting people in their healing and growth within recovery and faith-based spaces. I served as a ministry leader in Celebrate Recovery for three years and resigned in December to focus more on my church leadership role and supporting my community.

I’m known for creating safe, honest spaces where people feel seen and supported. What I’m most proud of is how my own growth has allowed me to help others in a real and meaningful way. What sets me apart is that I lead from lived experience… with empathy, faith, and consistency.

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is living with purpose, staying rooted in my faith, and being someone others can trust.

It matters because I know what it’s like to walk through hard seasons… and how powerful it is to have real support, honesty, and hope.
