Hi Lyndsey, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started doing donuts as an extra way of making extra money to help my brother in law with his acute lymphatic leukemia treatments. Then I fell in love with it and taught myself how to decorate and express my art thru food.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Covid hit and I had to push push push to keep us relevant against everyone else. Days where events didn’t go so well and took alot of losses. We kept pushing
We’ve been impressed with The Donut Queen, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Donut Queen specializes in edible artwork also known as a gourmet Donut. I have spent 6 years coming up with these one of a kind designs to match the amazing flavor combinations. What sets me apart from other Donut shops is this art work has never been done before. I’ve created these in my eyes. I’m proud that eventhough I’m only a popup shop rote now, I have won Best Of The Willamette Valley gold medal twice and silver medal once . Makes me feel amazing! We offer catering , custom orders and if you want us to do a popup at your business we would be happy to! If we are driving over an hour to get to your location we do charge to travel.
