Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Rose.
Hi Hannah Rose, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Faerie Beads & Treasures was started in 2006 by Phyllis Mueller, aka Dancing Hands (my mother). A longtime bead worker, craftsperson and fashion designer, she opened Faerie Beads when my father, Les Mueller, took a teaching job at Eastern Oregon University. She’d been involved with and vending at Faerie Worlds (a faerie festival) for many years and was known as The Faerie Goddess Mother, hence Faerie Beads & Treasures. I worked there for many years also doing healing work, massage, reiki, craniosacral, etc. About eight years in we became partners and I began to manage the shop, bringing in more stones and crystals. We had always sold stone and crystal beads but now moved into specimens, caves, spheres, towers and such. We became a bead and crystal shop… the “& Treasures” part of the name lending itself nicely to the new addition of fabulous rocks. We also sell my handmade gemstone jewelry and my mother’s magic wands (made with willow and various quartz crystals) My Auntie, Heidi Mejer, also works at Faerie Beads and does tarot and past life readings.
We also tie Faerie Hair Shimmers at the shop, sparkly silk threads tied to one hair on the head that create a look of sparkly magic
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Pretty smooth
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I create jewelry for wellbeing, using the beauty and metaphysical properties of the stones combined with intention to imbue my pieces with healing properties. I have moved out of massage and do crystal healing sessions combined with sound healing, guided meditation, craniosacral therapy, reiki, and intuitive energetics.
I love making custom pieces for people, we talk about what they would like to let go and what they would like to invite in and I create from there, using learned and intuitive knowledge of gemstone properties. I also hold specific intentions for healing as I work on each piece.
I call my jewelry business Fae Nature
What are your plans for the future?
