Hidden Gems: Meet Brittany Brite of Brite Financial, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Brite.

Hi Brittany, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was born and raised in Southern Oregon and graduated from Cascade Christian High School. My interest in accounting began during my junior year of high school when I discovered that I enjoyed working with numbers and helping organize information in a way that made sense to people. That interest led me to Southern Oregon University, where I earned a business degree with a concentration in accounting and later obtained my CPA license.

Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to learn from several organizations and mentors who helped shape my understanding of accounting and business. As I worked with businesses over the years, I noticed that many owners weren’t looking for just financial reports—they wanted someone who could help them understand their numbers and use that information to make informed decisions. I became passionate about bridging the gap between accounting data and practical financial understanding.

After several years of considering the idea, I launched Brite Financial in 2022. Our mission is to provide bookkeeping, financial support, and education that empowers small business owners to feel confident in their finances. Today, we have a team of four and are honored to serve nearly 100 small businesses throughout our community.

One of the things I’m most proud of is the culture we’ve built. As a fully remote company, we prioritize flexibility, trust, and work-life balance while maintaining a high level of service for our clients. We feel incredibly fortunate to do meaningful work alongside local business owners and are grateful for the relationships we’ve built throughout Southern Oregon.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We have been incredibly fortunate, but like any business there have been challenges along the way. One of the biggest lessons for me was learning that being an accountant and being a business owner require very different skill sets. Building a company means learning about leadership, hiring, networking, operations, and all the things that happen behind the scenes that most people never see.

I’ve also learned the importance of balance and being intentional with my time. I started Brite Financial while I was pregnant with my daughter, which gave me a unique perspective on what I wanted both my business and my life to look like. Building a business requires a great deal of dedication, but so does being present for your family and the people who matter most. Finding that balance has been one of the most valuable lessons of the journey.

Every challenge has been an opportunity to learn and grow, and I’m grateful for the support we’ve received from our team, families, clients, and community along the way.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Brite Financial, LLC?
Brite Financial provides bookkeeping and financial education services for small businesses. Our work includes monthly bookkeeping, financial reporting, and helping business owners understand what their numbers mean so they can make informed decisions. We also serve as a resource for clients who manage some or all of their own bookkeeping but want a trusted advisor available when questions arise.

One thing that sets us apart is the depth of experience within our team. Members of our team have backgrounds in bookkeeping, auditing, financial review, procurement, management and tax preparation, which gives us a broader understanding of how financial information is used throughout the year. Our goal is not simply to prepare books for tax season, but to empower business owners to use their financials as a tool for making sound business decisions throughout the year.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I have been incredibly fortunate to have a strong support system throughout this journey. My husband, family, team, clients, and community have all played a role in helping Brite Financial become what it is today.

My faith has also been an important part of my life and business. I believe the Lord has blessed this business in many ways, and that perspective helps keep me grounded and focused on serving others well.

Professionally, I think one of the qualities that has contributed most to our success is genuinely caring about people. In our industry, it’s easy to focus solely on numbers, reports, and deadlines. While those things are important, I’ve found that taking the time to listen, educate, and understand the goals and challenges of the people we work with creates stronger partnerships and better outcomes. We strive to be part of our clients’ support team and help them feel confident as they grow their businesses.

At the end of the day, business is about people. While bookkeeping is what we do, building relationships and supporting the people behind those businesses is what makes the work rewarding.
