Inspiring Conversations with Emma & Chris Leyden of Feast Food Co.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emma & Chris Leyden.

Hi Emma & Chris , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We started in a food truck of the same name: Feast Food Company, in March of 2021. We wanted to test the market for our style of food, see what the Redmond demographics were really looking for in food options. We were lucky enough to find the building we’re currently in now, in August of 2022. We started renovations that same time and were able to open our brick and mortar starting at the beginning of December 2022 with an expanded menu of locally sourced foods!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We’ve been pretty fortunate as far as struggles go. One of our biggest struggles is staffing, but that’s pretty common in the Food and Beverage industry. Another one of our struggles with being in Redmond specifically, is that we’re not in the downtown area, which is where a lot of people like to congregate. So being a little off the beaten path is a blessing and a curse for us.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Feast Food Co. ?
We are a restaurant that specializes in local food sourcing, making us aggressively seasonal with our menu options. At any one time we could be ordering from as many as twelve different local farms/ranches/purveyors. We offer seasonal menus, cocktails, Oregon/Washington wines, locally sourced beers. We love hospitality and work vigilantly to offer a space where our guests are welcomed with kindness and care.

What are your plans for the future?
Our plans are to keep pushing Redmond’s food/restaurant scene in the right direction! We love our city and the people who come with it. As we grow and build our business we look forward to being able to help bring our community together, by branching local farms and ranches to the people eating their ingredients. We strive to continue doing the good work we’re putting in everyday, and hopefully are able to continue and build upon what we’ve already started!
