Today we’d like to introduce you to Josie Wolf.
Hi Josie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Consignabubble was created by two local Corvallis moms, Lyndsey Zarfas and Josie Wolf. Josie met Lyndsey while she was in the process of purchasing the Corvallis Branch of Mother Goose Resale. Along the way, they became friends and realized how well their combined backgrounds would fit together in a business partnership.
Lyndsey has a background in education and child development. She is a mom of three with a passion for researching baby and kid gear to educate others about using these items safely.
Meanwhile, Josie has a background in multiple areas, with a degree in apparel design, and experience in retail as both a kids associate at a premium outfitter and managing a furniture/decor store. She is a mom to one sweet toddler girl. She comes from an indigenous background, is pursuing higher education, and is passionate about sustainability in our world.
Since we formed our partnership, we have rebranded to Consign A Bubble with our own vision. We now have five part time employees, are Authorized U-Haul Dealers. We are focused on professional development through community building events such as hosting a book club, partnering with the South Town Food Bank, and diversifying our revenue stream through becoming a venue to host parties.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Some of our struggles have been learning how to hire, manage, and train employees as well as navigating a software upgrade for our consignment software which is vital to running our business.

We are also proud to partner with the WINGS (Workplace and Independent Growth Skills) Transitional Program, which offers young adults with alternative or modified diplomas from the Corvallis School District the opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience.
Through this program, we provide job training and hands-on learning in retail operations, including duties like sorting, tagging, and organizing merchandise. Participants also develop important life skills, such as time management and communication.
We are honored to be one of the local businesses helping students transition from high school to the workforce. This collaboration not only helps these young adults prepare for future careers but also supports their growth and independence.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Hard work and drive is what got us to where we are, but above all else knowing the right people is far more important than luck. We are fortunate to have guidance in our business from several mentors who we have sought out for advice, as well as a strong team of professionals to back us up when we need them.

- 40% of the sale goes to consignors for qualifying items
- 50% is the consignors ratio for items over $100 in value
- For more fairness and transparency, the value is the same for in store credit vs a cash payout to consignors
