Meet Jordan Andrew of Oregon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Andrew.

Hi Jordan, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been drawn to creativity in all its forms. Five years ago, I started A Creative Approach as a way to help businesses tell their story through branding, social media, design, and marketing. What began as a creative studio has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of, allowing me to work with businesses I genuinely admire while helping them connect with their audiences in meaningful ways.

Over the years, I realized that what I love most is creating experiences that make people feel something. That naturally led me to Fiori. Flowers had always been a personal passion of mine, and starting a floral studio felt like an opportunity to bring a more tangible, hands-on side of my creativity to life.

Today, the two businesses complement each other in ways I never expected. A Creative Approach helps brands build their identity and presence, while Fiori creates moments of connection through flowers, workshops, and events. At their core, both are about thoughtful design, bringing people together, and creating something memorable.

Looking back, my path hasn’t been about choosing one creative outlet over another. It’s been about following what inspires me and finding ways to turn that into work that serves others.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not. Like most small business owners, there have been a lot of moments where I’ve had to figure things out as I go. Building a business means wearing every hat, from the creative work to sales, marketing, finances, and operations. It can be overwhelming at times, especially in the beginning.

One of the biggest challenges has been learning to trust my instincts. When you’re starting out, it’s easy to compare yourself to others or feel like you need to do things the way everyone else is. Over time, I’ve realized that the work I’m most proud of comes from leaning into my own perspective and creating in a way that feels authentic to me.

Starting Fiori while continuing to grow A Creative Approach has also been a balancing act. Running two businesses requires a lot of organization, flexibility, and long days, but it’s also incredibly rewarding because each business fuels the other creatively.

I’ve learned that challenges are part of the process. Every obstacle has taught me something, helped me grow, and ultimately made both businesses stronger.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I currently own two creative businesses that each allow me to express different sides of my creativity.

With A Creative Approach, I help businesses elevate their brand through social media, marketing, branding, websites, and creative strategy. While social media has become the largest part of my business, my favorite work is interior decorating and styling. I love helping people reimagine a space, whether it’s for a home, business, or photoshoot, and creating environments that feel intentional and reflect who they are.

With Fiori, I specialize in sculptural, artful floral arrangements that feel more like living installations than traditional bouquets. I’m drawn to interesting stems, movement, negative space, and seasonal flowers that create something unexpected. Beyond arrangements, I also love creating experiences through workshops, pop-ups, and collaborations with local businesses that bring people together around flowers.

What I’m most proud of is building businesses that feel like an extension of who I am. Rather than staying in one lane, I’ve embraced being a multidisciplinary creative. Whether I’m designing a brand, styling a room, or creating a floral arrangement, my approach is always the same: thoughtful, intentional, and deeply rooted in good design.

I think what sets me apart is that I don’t see branding, interiors, flowers, and marketing as separate disciplines. They all work together to shape how people experience a business or a space. That perspective allows me to create work that feels cohesive, memorable, and personal.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I think my curiosity has been one of the biggest reasons I’ve been able to grow. I’m always asking questions, learning new skills, and looking for ways to improve what I do. I’ve never been afraid to try something new, even if it means starting from scratch and figuring it out as I go.

I also care deeply about the details. Whether I’m building a brand, styling a space, or designing a floral arrangement, I believe the small decisions are what make the biggest impact. That attention to detail, combined with a genuine passion for creating, has helped me build businesses that feel thoughtful, intentional, and true to who I am.

More than anything, I think consistency has mattered the most. Showing up every day, continuing to learn, and putting care into every project has made a bigger difference than any single achievement.
