Hi Bailey, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Photography has always felt less like a career choice and more like a calling.
I first found myself on the other side of the lens as a model. I couldn’t yet afford a camera of my own, and modeling became my entry point into the creative world I longed to be part of. I quickly began contributing to styling and creative direction for trade shoots, immersing myself in the collaborative process and learning how a set came together.
Eventually I realized I couldn’t ignore my passion for photography any longer. I spent a period couch surfing and borrowing equipment while pouring every resource I had into building a life around my art.
Those early years shaped both my work and my perspective. I spent every spare moment refining my eye and developing my voice as an artist, often choosing to invest in my craft over my own comfort. I balanced college classes with multiple jobs, and there were seasons when I worked every day for months on end, driven by unwavering passion.
My journey has always been rooted in the belief that dedication and persistence can create opportunities, even when resources are limited. My path required me to build everything step by step, investing in my craft, working relentlessly, and finding ways to produce unique work. I hope my story reminds other passionate artists that with commitment, patience, and a willingness to put in the work, it is possible to build a life around the art you love.
Today, I have the incredible honor of documenting some of life’s most meaningful moments through weddings and elopements.
During my off season, I travel whenever I can in pursuit of wildlife and remote landscapes. I’ve been fortunate to photograph in places such as Antarctica, Iran, Algeria, and throughout the United States, and I hope to finally photograph on my seventh continent this year.
Every new place deepens my appreciation for the extraordinary diversity of our planet. Whether I am documenting a wedding day or quietly waiting for wildlife to appear, I am drawn to moments that reveal something meaningful, the fleeting, honest stories that remind us what is worth preserving.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has definitely not been a smooth road, but I think the challenges along the way have shaped both who I am and the artist I’ve become.
The hardest part was often learning to trust the process when progress felt slow. Building a creative career requires patience, resilience, and a willingness to keep showing up even when there is no guarantee of success. There were many moments where choosing my craft meant choosing uncertainty, but I always believed that the work I was putting in would eventually create something meaningful.
Looking back, those challenges became some of my greatest teachers. They taught me discipline, adaptability, and gratitude for every opportunity I have today.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My work is rooted in storytelling. Through weddings, elopements, and nature photography, I create imagery that explores the connection between human experiences, wildlife, and the landscapes that shape their stories.
For my wedding and elopement work, I am known for combining a cinematic approach with candid storytelling. I love creating photographs that feel like a memory you can step back into. Images that capture not only the emotion of the day, but the atmosphere, the landscape, and all of the details that make a story unique. Nature is an integral part of my work, and I am especially drawn to incorporating dramatic environments like mountains, coastlines, forests, and waterfalls into a couple’s experience. I believe the setting is not just a backdrop; it’s part of the story.
My wildlife photography follows that same philosophy. Rather than simply creating portraits of animals, I focus on capturing behavior, relationships, and the environments they call home. I want my images to tell a larger story, to show the personality of an animal, the challenges they face, and the incredible ecosystems we all share.
Travel has played a profound role in shaping my perspective as an artist. I have been fortunate to photograph in some of the most extreme and beautiful environments on Earth, from the frozen landscapes of Antarctica to the heat of the world’s hottest deserts, as well as rainforests, coastlines, grasslands, and underwater worlds. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the diversity of our planet and strengthened my commitment to using photography as a way to inspire appreciation and conservation.
I have had the privilege of my photography being used to support education and share important stories about wildlife. Conservation begins with connection, and I believe every person has a role in protecting the wild spaces we share.
What sets my work apart is the connection between these two worlds. Whether I am photographing a couple exchanging vows in a remote landscape or documenting wildlife in its natural habitat, I am always searching for the same thing: honest moments that remind us how meaningful our connection is, to each other and to the world around us.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
I had an absolutely magical childhood. Growing up in Austin, Texas, I spent most of my time outdoors, discovering the world around me. I don’t think I can pinpoint one single favorite memory because what stands out most is the feeling of that entire chapter of my life. I spent my days outdoors, climbing oak trees, wandering through our garden, and escaping into my vine covered tree fort that felt like its own little world.
I was incredibly fortunate to grow up surrounded by a wonderful community and many remarkable women who shaped the person I am today. Their kindness, strength, and wisdom taught me the importance of curiosity, compassion, and appreciating the world around me. Those lessons have stayed with me throughout my life and continue to influence the way I approach both my work and the stories I choose to tell.
