Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Fox.
Hi Michael, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started my chiropractic practice in April this year… but my chiropractic journey started long before that, I’ve been seeing a chiropractor since I was 2 years old and after noticing the benefits on my own health and the people around me, how could I not tell the world! I felt if I worked for someone else, I would be exposed to people who already knew about chiropractic but if I started my own practice, I could expand my reach and meet new people who know nothing about chiropractic, and I would be blessed with the opportunity to share the chiropractic story.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has Its ups and downs. I never got an education in running a business so there’s always going to be hiccups with that. But I view every challenge as a chance to learn and grow and get closer to becoming the doctor that my community needs.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a chiropractor. I specialize in Applied Kinesiology; it’s a diagnostic technique where I use muscle testing to ask the body what exactly it needs from me in the moment and helps me get to the root cause of the problem. It gives me the confidence that I can help whoever comes my way. I’m most proud of the time and energy I put into my craft to make sure I’m always improving and becoming the best version of me possible. My style pf care sets me apart from most because I love seeing how far hands on healing can go, I love working on more complicated cases who the medical/surgical route has failed and doing much more than just low back pain.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
The biggest risk I’ve taken was starting my own practice out of school. I have very little money and poor it all into my practice and my dream, but I view it as worth it because every day I get to do what I love-which is helping people and teaching them that their body can heal when given the chance. I think about risk by the reward, and if the reward is the life that I dreamed of than it’s absolutely worth it.
