Today we’d like to introduce you to Casey Freitas.
Hi Casey, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Pearl and Penna was owned by a very good friend of mine – she was going into retirement, and mentioned selling the bridal boutique. I have been very blessed to be a stay at home mom the last 7 years – but when the opportunity arose for me to buy this business it felt so completely right. I could still be home with my 2 daughters & be involved in their school, while also running a business that is “by appointment only”. When I very first started I really just dove in and taught myself a lot of the business. I have had several supportive reps through my designers that have also taught me so much as well. I have always been very much a people person, love helping, love style, love connecting, and this job could not fit me any better. Both of my daughters are now in school full time – so it has been so fun having something to call my own and keep me busy in the best way:) Things have been so great and I have had amazing reviews, so much so I have recently hired my very first employee, who is a literal angel! I sometimes feel as though I am in a hallmark movie – this career is such a dream job and truly has been such a great fit in my life. The relationships I have made with previous brides are so special to me, I truly love what I do!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been smooth, however finding a good balance of work/family/time off and juggling all that comes with being a stay at home mom. My husband also has recently opened his own business and so finding the balance while also striving to be the best mom/wife/and bridal stylist can get overwhelming. I have had the “mom guilt” when busy season hits – but my kids & husband have been truly the most encouraging and supportive!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am an owner/bridal stylist at a bridal boutique. I am a mother of 2 and a wife of almost 10 years to my spouse I met in middle
school:)
I specialize in private boutique bridal appointments! I am known for giving a very personable and unforgettable experience. My goal is to make the bride feel comfortable, confident, and truly relaxed when finding their wedding gown. Every bride deserves to feel happy and relaxed when finding their dream gown – I never want them to leave feeling pressured or uncomfortable.
I am very proud of the carefully curated wedding dress collections I have brought into the boutique, I feel I have a brought a good selection of classic, elegant, and unique gowns to the valley. I feel I am set apart from others because of the truly personable and private style appointment you will get with me. You will never leave feeling pressured or persuaded, I want every bride that walks in to my boutique to feel comfortable and confident in her decision as well as know that I will be of help through the entire process…most brides will leave knowing they have just made a new friend!:)
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Have confidence in what you do and what you offer, ignore the chatter & negative comments, if you believe whole heartly in what you offer & what you provide others will be drawn to you for it. Never stop learning and growing – there is so much knowledge out there to listen to. Be kind & understanding – truly listen to people:) Some days are tough or you feel you didn’t do enough or have made mistakes, but that’s only a part of growing and trusting the process!
