Today we’d like to introduce you to Carrie.
Hi Carrie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I owned and operated a holistic spa and wellness company in Los Angeles for 21 years. After selling it in 2021, I thought I would “just get a job” and be a contribution to someone else’s business. Little did I know that the job market and ageism would be so hard to manage. After 18 months and over 100 applications in multiple industries, I chose to return to my entrepreneurial roots.
Now I serve entrepreneurs as their part-time business partner – an entrepreneur for entrepreneurs. I assist them with strategy, systems, organization, personal items, sales, marketing – whatever they need to be free to focus on what makes them come alive. I really enjoy bringing warmth, ease, and excellence to their worlds and helping them to do what they are here to do.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it was not smooth! I am extremely capable so it was bewildering to not easily find work. It was hard to keep applying into a void, to get excited and ghosted over and over again.
It IS funny though, that I tried so hard to be a cog in someone else’s wheel, only to return to being an entrepreneur again! I am really enjoying crafting my business. Working for myself and shaping my work to feel like play is something I have practiced for decades. It feels great to return to this!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I consider myself an artist of living. Every day is my work of art. My calendar reflects my soul priorities: Peace, Justice, Love, Light, Wellness, Community, Connection, etc. I focus on and take action on what is most important to me which fuels my energy to enjoy my work.
I like to hold space for my clients to do the same. I learned a long time ago to hire people who play at what I have to work at. Now, I do all the tasks my clients don’t want to do and for me, it is play.
I think what sets me apart from others is I meet people where they are, with lots of empathy and listening for their highest dreams and then I deliver excellent work, with velocity. I like to call it five star service on a first name basis.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
That I have traveled to 45 countries and lived in 3, which gives me a unique perspective on the world and their businesses.
