Today we’d like to introduce you to Bart Abraham.
Hi Bart, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was always making, breaking building or creating something as a kid. I was never board beacuse my mother alwsys had paper, canvas, wood or just a box of stuff to work with. My mother was a painter and took me to art fairs, galleries and many other creative events. In 50 years i have created over 5000 works of art. But just in the last 10 years i have had a 250 sqft studio to work in everyday that my work has really found the next level. Tagged with the nick name BartArt 30 years ago has lead to the current development of my style(BartArt). Now showing in 6 or more locations around the NW at any one time with a 100 or more original paintings avalible for show and sale at any time. My web site BartArtGalleries.com gives anyone a look at BartArt. I strongly believe that the process of creating art is the art, the entanglment of the paint, color, the brush and canvas all combined with me conection to quantum univerise. Just paint and let it hsppen. Just keep painting.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Life always gets in the way. Mairred 31 years, raised 2 kids and had to gave real jobs to support them. Alwsys painting along the way. In our first apparment in Portland in 1995, I covered the floor and walls with plastic do i could paint. In my first house i built a 8ft x6ft box to paint in. I always found a way to paint.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
