Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey Holy.
Hi Lindsey, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been teaching for as long as I can recall at this point.
For years I ran an international school. It took us to places such as Thailand, Greece and The Bahamas.
I opened my first brick and mortar at the start of 2025. Named Zen + Tonic Yoga, this isn’t a place where you need to walk in knowing any Sanskrit or wear white. But the understanding of those traditions will blossom in time.
I don’t have a partner, I live alone and I do ALL of this on my own. I feel like that is enough to show ‘drama’ because I dare anyone to walk a mile in my shoes.
Oh, and lastly: I just finished up my second hip surgery and I’m only 44. My thoughts and contributions to the changing yoga community is something being explored with many people with various expertise in human anatomy.
I am wild, smart, and needing a break.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Oh lord. How about a love triangle that lasted for years where he chose the other woman?
Or uncovering the ashram I studied at as a cult – Sat Yoga Center in Costa Rica. If you want a new age Jim Jones, this is your guy. He goes by Shunamurti.
Or that I have been a dive instructor and lived off a boat in Australia. That was right after I spent time writing my thesis with an exchange program on the environmental impact of building in world heritage rainforest.
Which way do you wanna go? I could keep going. I’ve climbed to base camp of Mount Everest. Lived in a tent in Alaska.
