Conversations with Corinne Hendricks

Today we’d like to introduce you to Corinne Hendricks.

Hi Corinne , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey into healing and wellness really grew out of my own need for healing.

Growing up, I struggled a lot with bullying, feeling like an outsider, and not having a strong sense of self-worth or confidence. As I got older, some of those unresolved experiences followed me into adulthood. I went through periods where I was disconnected from myself, relied on unhealthy coping mechanisms, and found myself in relationships and situations that reinforced a lot of the beliefs I already carried about myself.

Discovering Reiki became a major turning point for me. What initially began as something I was curious about became a much deeper personal healing journey. I started learning how to slow down, become more aware of myself, and work through things I had carried for years. I eventually continued my training and became a Reiki Master, while also exploring practices like meditation, breathwork, grounding, journaling, aromatherapy, and other approaches to holistic wellness.

Motherhood brought another major transformation. Becoming a mom made me look at my life differently and think much more deeply about the kind of life I wanted to create and the example I wanted to set for my son. I went through some incredibly challenging experiences during that chapter of my life, including leaving an unhealthy relationship and ultimately relocating back to the Oregon Coast to create a more peaceful and stable life for us.

In many ways, the Oregon Coast has become part of my healing story too. Being surrounded by the ocean, forests, trails, and so much natural beauty has taught me how powerful it can be to slow down, reconnect with nature, and come back to yourself. It has influenced the way I approach both my own wellness and the work I now share with others.

Today, I offer intuitive healing and wellness sessions that bring together Reiki energy healing, guided meditation, breathwork, grounding, chakra balancing, and intuitive guidance. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor each session to what the person is experiencing and what they need in that moment.

A lot of my work comes back to something I had to learn for myself: how to remain grounded and connected to who you are even when life around you feels chaotic. I want people—especially those who have lost themselves through difficult relationships, motherhood, major life transitions, or years of doubting their own worth—to know that it is possible to reconnect with themselves and create something different.

I’m still evolving, both personally and professionally, and I think that is part of what makes this work meaningful to me. I’m not sharing healing from a place of having lived a perfect life. I’m sharing the practices and perspectives that helped me transform my own life, and I hope that by sharing my story and my work, I can help other people recognize what is possible for theirs.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I think many of the challenges are ultimately what led me to the work I do today.

One of my biggest struggles has been learning to believe in myself. Growing up with bullying and often feeling like I didn’t fit in affected my confidence for a long time. I carried a lot of insecurity into adulthood, and there were periods when I looked outside of myself for validation or used unhealthy ways of coping with what I was feeling.

I’ve also had to navigate difficult relationships and learn how to recognize when something was no longer healthy for me, even when walking away was incredibly hard. Becoming a mother made those decisions even more significant because I wasn’t only thinking about the life I wanted for myself anymore—I was thinking about the environment and example I wanted to create for my son. There have been times when starting over meant choosing uncertainty over familiarity and trusting that I would figure things out as I went.

Building something of my own has brought a completely different set of challenges. When you are creating a business centered around something as personal as healing, you have to become comfortable being seen. I’ve had to work through fears of judgment, questioning whether I was qualified enough, comparing myself to others, and wondering whether people would understand or value what I offer.

I’m also a mother, a student, and an entrepreneur, so there is the very real challenge of balancing my ambitions with being present for my son and creating stability for us. I don’t always have everything perfectly figured out, and I’ve had to let go of the idea that I need to.

Probably the biggest lesson throughout all of it has been learning that being grounded doesn’t mean life around you is always peaceful. It means developing the ability to come back to yourself when it isn’t. The challenges I’ve experienced have taught me resilience, boundaries, self-trust, and compassion, and those lessons have become a huge part of what I now bring into my work with others.

I used to view some of the harder chapters of my life as things I wished I could erase. Now I can see how much they shaped me. They gave me a deeper understanding of what it feels like to lose yourself, and more importantly, what it takes to find your way back.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My work is centered around helping people reconnect with themselves and find a greater sense of balance mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I’m a Reiki Master and intuitive healing and wellness practitioner, and I bring together Reiki energy healing, guided meditation, breathwork, grounding practices, chakra balancing, and intuitive guidance in my sessions.

One thing that is really important to me is that my sessions aren’t one-size-fits-all. I take time to understand what someone is experiencing and allow the session to be shaped around what they need that day. Someone may come to me feeling overwhelmed and needing to slow down and feel grounded, while someone else may be navigating a major life transition, struggling with self-worth, or feeling disconnected from themselves and their sense of purpose.

I think what I specialize in most is helping people come back to themselves. So many of us spend years operating in survival mode, taking care of everyone else, living according to other people’s expectations, or simply moving so quickly that we lose touch with who we are and what we actually want. My work creates a space where people can slow down, listen inward, and begin reconnecting with that part of themselves.

The Oregon Coast has also become a big influence on the way I think about wellness. I’m constantly inspired by the ocean, forests, and especially the sea stacks along the coast. To me, they represent being grounded and stable even while everything around you is moving. That idea—learning how to find stability within yourself rather than waiting for life to become perfectly calm—is something I try to bring into my work.

What sets me apart is that I don’t approach healing from only one modality or from the perspective that I have all of the answers for someone else. I see my role as creating the space, offering tools and guidance, and helping people strengthen their own connection with themselves and their intuition. My personal experiences with rebuilding my confidence, motherhood, relationships, major life transitions, and starting over have also given me a lot of compassion for people who are in the middle of figuring out what comes next.

I’m most proud of how much my work reflects who I have become. There was a time when I struggled to believe in myself or even imagine putting myself out there publicly. Now I’m building something rooted in many of the practices that helped me change my own life. Every time I share my story, create a meditation, work with someone individually, or put something into the world that may help another person feel more peaceful or hopeful, I’m also doing something a younger version of me probably never imagined I would have the confidence to do.

Ultimately, I want my work to remind people that healing isn’t about becoming an entirely different person. Sometimes it’s about clearing away everything that made you forget who you were in the first place and finding your way back to yourself.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
The primary way people can work with me is through my one-on-one intuitive healing and wellness sessions. I currently offer remote sessions, so I’m able to work with people regardless of where they live. My sessions can incorporate Reiki energy healing, guided meditation, breathwork, grounding, chakra balancing, and intuitive guidance depending on what the individual needs.

I’m also continuing to create guided meditations and other accessible wellness resources for people who may want to experience this work on their own time. I love the idea of giving people practices they can actually incorporate into their everyday lives rather than feeling like wellness is something they can only access during a session.

I’m very open to collaborations as well. I’d love to connect with other wellness practitioners, local businesses, retreat and event organizers, podcasts, publications, and creators whose work aligns with holistic wellness, personal growth, motherhood, spirituality, nature, and intentional living. I’m especially interested in opportunities that allow me to bring Reiki, meditation, or grounding practices into new spaces and communities.

People can also support my work simply by following along, sharing my content with someone who may need it, trying one of my meditations, booking a session, or reaching out to collaborate. As I continue growing, I really want to build a community around the idea that taking care of our mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being can be a natural part of everyday life.

Ultimately, whether someone works with me individually, listens to one of my meditations, collaborates with me, or simply takes something meaningful away from something I’ve shared, I’m grateful to have the opportunity to be part of their journey.
