Hi Keisha , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Beauty has always been my passion. I began my professional makeup career at 18 years old and quickly realized that helping people feel confident and beautiful was exactly what I was meant to do.
My journey started in the cosmetics industry, where I worked for several well-known beauty brands, including Estée Lauder and Shiseido. I later spent six years with MAC Cosmetics, where I worked as both a makeup artist and manager. Those years gave me a strong foundation in artistry, skincare, customer service, and leadership.
Wanting to expand my knowledge and skills, I attended school and transitioned into medical aesthetics, eventually becoming a cosmetic injector. I spent 10 years working in plastic surgery and seven years specializing in aesthetic injections. That experience gave me a deeper understanding of facial anatomy, skin health, and the importance of creating results that enhance a person’s natural beauty.
Eventually, I decided to become a licensed esthetician so I could continue combining my love of skincare and beauty. Makeup, however, has always remained at the heart of everything I do.
That passion inspired me to create Heavenly Glow Beauty, a mobile beauty business specializing in bridal and event makeup throughout Oregon. More recently, I completed my education in hair design and nail technology so I can continue expanding the services I offer.
One of the things I love most about this industry is the opportunity to be part of some of life’s most important moments. Whether I’m helping a bride prepare for her wedding day or creating a look for a special event, my goal is always the same: to help every client feel confident, beautiful, and completely themselves.
Looking back, it’s incredible to see how my career has evolved—from an 18 -year-old makeup artist working behind a cosmetics counter to the owner of Heavenly Glow Beauty. Every experience along the way has shaped my approach and strengthened my belief that beauty is about so much more than appearance. It’s about confidence, connection, and helping people see the beauty that already exists within them.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My journey certainly hasn’t been a smooth road, but I believe those challenges have shaped both who I am and the way I approach my business today.
One of my biggest challenges has been balancing my career with my responsibilities as a wife and mother. Building a business requires an incredible amount of time, energy, and dedication, and finding that balance isn’t always easy.
Another challenge has been returning to school while continuing to grow my business. After years of experience in the beauty and medical aesthetics industries, going back to school to become a licensed esthetician and complete my education in hair design and nail technology required me to step outside my comfort zone and embrace being a student again.
Like many small business owners, building a client base and increasing brand awareness has also been challenging. Growing Heavenly Glow Beauty has required me to put myself out there, build relationships, network with other professionals, create content, and consistently show up even when growth felt slow.
I’ve learned that success doesn’t happen overnight. It takes patience, perseverance, and a willingness to keep moving forward, even when things don’t go as planned.
Looking back, I wouldn’t change any part of my journey. Every challenge has taught me something valuable and has helped me build a business that reflects my passion for beauty, education, and helping others feel confident in themselves.

Heavenly Glow Beauty is a mobile bridal and event beauty business serving clients throughout Oregon. I specialize in on-location makeup services and believe that beauty should enhance a person’s natural features rather than completely transform them.
I’m known for creating timeless, elegant, camera-ready makeup that lasts throughout the day while still feeling comfortable and natural. Every face is unique, and I love creating customized looks that allow each client’s personality and natural beauty to shine.
What sets Heavenly Glow Beauty apart is the experience I provide. Wedding mornings can be stressful, and my goal is to create a calm, positive, and enjoyable environment where my clients can relax, feel supported, and truly enjoy the moment.
I’m most proud of the trust my clients place in me. Many of my bookings come through referrals, which means the world to me. Being invited to share such important moments in people’s lives is something I’ll never take for granted.
As Heavenly Glow Beauty continues to grow, I’m excited to expand my services to include bridal hair and hair extensions while continuing to provide exceptional beauty services throughout Oregon.
At the heart of my business is a simple philosophy: beauty is about confidence, connection, and helping people recognize the beauty that already exists within them.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something that might surprise people is how much of the story behind Heavenly Glow Beauty actually begins with my family—especially my husband.
My husband and I have been married for 16 years, and he has been my biggest supporter every step of the way. When I questioned whether I should start my own business or return to school, he was the one who encouraged me to take the leap and believe in myself.
His support continues in so many ways that people never see—from helping me load my equipment before those very early-morning weddings to unloading everything when I finally get home after a long day. People may see the makeup artist behind Heavenly Glow Beauty, but they don’t always see the person behind the scenes who has helped make so much of it possible.
I’m also a mom to two amazing children, a 29-year-old son and a 10-year-old daughter, and being their mom is one of my greatest joys. I also love volunteering with children because they bring so much joy, energy, and light into my life. They have a beautiful way of reminding us to appreciate the simple things and find happiness in everyday moments.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family or planning our next trip to Florida. I’m a huge Florida fan—I love the beaches, sunshine, and most of all, slowing down and making memories with the people I love.
At the end of the day, family, faith, kindness, and serving others are at the heart of who I am. Those same values are also what I hope people feel when they experience Heavenly Glow Beauty.
