Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremiah Fite.
Hi Jeremiah, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
About 15 years ago, I went in to book a memorial tattoo for my mother. I had always been drawn to art, but sitting in that space, something clicked. I saw tattooing not just as a medium, but as a unique, living form of artistic expression and a real path forward for me. Looking at the standard corporate world, I knew that wasn’t the life for me. Tattooing offered a way to build a meaningful career on my own terms, turning a deep love for creation into something tangible for people.
Since taking that leap, I’ve dedicated myself to mastering the craft, developing a style defined by bold linework, rich textures, and designs built to age gracefully. That journey eventually led to founding Shadow Caster Tattoo, operating in Redmond Oregon. Today, I’m fully focused on creating custom, story-driven pieces for my clients, sharing my process online, and working toward mentoring future artists through tattoo instruction to pass on what I’ve learned, if that opportunity ever arises.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey was a constant grind. While building my skills and pushing toward my dream, I had to balance traditional work just to secure medical benefits and provide a stable life for my child. Holding down a day job to put family first while spending every remaining hour honing my linework and mastering the craft was exhausting, but giving up was never an option.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work centers on bold, illustrative designs, deep textures, and pieces built to stand the test of time.
What sets me apart is actually caring about my clients and not treating them like idiots because their ideas don’t match my own.
