Check Out Peace Seedlings’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Peace Seedlings.

Hi Peace, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Peace Seedlings started in 2009 as an opportunity to continue the legacy of Peace Seeds 3 decades of bio-diversity preservation and plant breeding for the public domain( open source). Working in Collaboration with Mushroom(Alan Kapuler) and Linda Kapuler gave us an opportunity to explore some of the many deep realms of the natural world, learn about organic agriculture/land management, and find where our own passions were.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As with any great adventure, the road has not been smooth. Some of the toughest obstacles are that we still dont own the land we farm and so much of the world around uses poisons to manage the land.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are organic seed producers, plant breeders, weavers, and stewards of the earth. We have specialized in unique food plants from South America, breeding zinnias, marigolds, peas, corn, and tomatoes.
What has set us apart from others is the unique plants we offer. We have bred new architectural traits in marigolds and tomatoes as well as unique colors of zinnias and snap/snow peas

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
We do most all of the work ourselves so we are very intimate with every step of the process.
We dont own the land the we have farmed for multiple generations, since early 90s
