Today we’d like to introduce you to Rubi Gonzalez.
Hi Rubi, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Ever since I was young my father taught my brother and I the basic skills of painting and after I graduated high school I went into the workforce. Initially I started working for local construction company but in the winter of 2023 I opened my own painting company.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
While we try to run our business as smoothly as possible. The business itself has a lot challenges that come along the way. One of our biggest challenges is winter weather as it’s almost impossible to paint outside because the weather is so harsh on the materials.

We specialize on painting the interior and exterior of residential homes. I am most proud that I’ve been able to provide not just for myself but my family as well. What sets me apart from others is that I’m a female working in a male dominated field.
