Conversations with Breanna Schwinge-Tuck

Today we’d like to introduce you to Breanna Schwinge-Tuck.

Hi Breanna, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
At 21 years old, my life changed overnight. I became incredibly sick and spent months in and out of hospitals, seeing specialist after specialist, searching for answers. Time and time again, I was told my symptoms were psychosomatic—that it was simply my body’s response to stress. Deep down, I knew something wasn’t right.
Eventually, I found a thyroid specialist who finally gave me the answer I had been searching for: I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease. I was presented with two treatment options, and I chose the one that gave me the best chance to take back my health and my life.
As part of my recovery, I hired a personal trainer. What started as a way to rebuild my strength quickly became a passion. Fitness gave me confidence, helped me reconnect with my body, and showed me just how resilient I could be.
That experience inspired me to become a personal trainer myself. Today, I help others build strength, improve their health, and realize that they’re capable of so much more than they think. My journey began with one of the hardest seasons of my life, but it ultimately led me to the career I’m most passionate about.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No journey is ever completely smooth, and mine has definitely had its challenges. The biggest has been learning to manage Hashimoto’s disease. Keeping my thyroid levels stable has been an ongoing process, and there have been times when I’ve had to adjust my lifestyle, training, and expectations as my health changed. It’s taught me to be patient, listen to my body, and focus on long-term consistency instead of quick fixes.
When it came to my career, though, I never questioned what I wanted to do. After experiencing firsthand how much exercise and strength training changed my life, I knew I wanted to help others do the same. I earned my personal training certification and later decided to pursue a degree in Health and Wellness to continue expanding my knowledge. That part of my journey felt very natural—I had found my purpose, and every step since has been about becoming the best coach I can be for my clients.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a personal trainer who specializes in strength and conditioning, working with a wide variety of clients at different stages of their fitness journey. Whether someone is brand new to the gym or looking to improve their performance, my goal is to help them build strength, confidence, and healthy habits that last.
What sets me apart is that I don’t focus on quick fixes or temporary results. I believe fitness should fit into your life, not take it over. I work closely with my clients to create realistic, sustainable lifestyle changes they can maintain for years to come. Strength training is the foundation, but I also emphasize nutrition, education, and building confidence both inside and outside the gym.
What I’m most proud of is seeing my clients realize they’re capable of more than they ever thought possible. Watching someone gain confidence, become stronger, and improve their quality of life is the most rewarding part of what I do.

What’s next?
As a new mom, one of my biggest priorities is learning how to navigate a healthy work-life balance while continuing to grow my business. Motherhood has given me a new perspective on health and fitness, and it’s strengthened my passion for helping women take care of themselves without feeling like they have to choose between their families and their goals.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to work more closely with working women and moms, helping them build strength, improve their health, and create sustainable routines that fit their busy lives. My goal is to continue growing my business while making fitness more accessible, realistic, and empowering for women in every season of life.
