Today we’d like to introduce you to Tanner Taylor.
Hi Tanner, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Tanner Taylor, and I’m the owner of Taylor Pro Exteriors in Southern Oregon.
For years, I worked in sales and business development, helping other companies grow while carrying a dream in the back of my mind that someday I would build something of my own.
I’ve always believed in hard work, serving people well, and doing things the right way. But for a long time, I was building someone else’s vision instead of my own.
That all changed when life forced me to make a decision.
After spending years in the corporate world, I found myself at a crossroads. I had a family to provide for, bills to pay, and a choice to make: continue down a path that no longer aligned with where I felt God was leading me, or take a leap of faith and bet on myself.
In January of 2026, I launched Taylor Pro Exteriors.
The beginning wasn’t glamorous. A lot of uncertainty, and plenty of moments where I questioned whether I was making the right decision. But every customer, every completed job, and every referral reinforced that I was exactly where I was supposed to be.
What started as a small exterior cleaning company has grown into a business serving homeowners throughout Southern Oregon with roof moss removal, soft washing, window cleaning, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, Christmas light installs and permanent LED lighting. More importantly, it’s allowed me to build relationships with people in my community and create something that reflects my values.
My faith has played a huge role in this journey. I believe God opens doors, provides opportunities, and calls us to serve others with excellence. That belief influences how I treat customers, how I lead my business, and how I approach every job.
One of the biggest reasons I started this company was my family. As a husband and father of three, I wanted to build a life where I could provide for them while also being present. I didn’t just want financial success, I wanted freedom, purpose, and the ability to create something my children could look at one day and be proud of.
Today, Taylor Pro Exteriors is growing, but we’re still just getting started. My vision is to become the most trusted exterior services company in Southern Oregon, known not only for quality work but for integrity, professionalism, and genuinely caring about our customers.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned through this journey, it’s that sometimes the biggest opportunities come disguised as setbacks. The moments that feel uncertain can become the starting point of something far greater than you imagined.
I’m grateful for every customer who has trusted us, every person who has supported our journey, and every opportunity to serve this community that we call home.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not been easy. Some months have been better than others. Most of my struggles happen to be trusting God that this will all work out. I’ve lost bids, I’ve bid too high on jobs where I really wanted the money but someone else underbid me and got the job. I’ve underbid jobs where I wish I would have bid them higher because the project took longer than expected and the work was way more than I would have imagined. I’ve almost fallen off of roofs, I mean the list goes on.
I feel like most of the roofs ive cleaned are ones that are super steep, a lot of weird angles on the roofs that make it difficult to move around and clean. making sure ladders are setup correctly.
There have been days where im like….”what in the world did I just get myself into” lol
But I think my biggest challenge is myself….my mindset. I struggle when I get excited about a job. I bid it, and then the customer chooses someone else. I really believe im the best in what I do here in southern oregon. I have a lot of help from my wife in those times. But, I am super hopeful at the same time. Im very excited about what im doing and who im able to help
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I do moss removal and treatment. Gutter cleaning, window cleaning, pressure washing, soft washing and when christmas time comes I install christmas lights and permanent LED lights. What sets me a part is my brand, there is no one else in the area who is branding themselves like I am. I am investing early in those things, I just actually got my truck wrapped and it looks AWESOME. I think also, I take on crazy jobs. High heights, super steep roofs and I truly believe I do the best work when it comes to down to it. Ive actually been called out from customers to REDO other people work. it’s crazy!
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success to me is living my life of purpose, living life on my terms, with direction and actually going for things that I want. It’s honoring God, putting my family first, serving people with excellence, and building something that makes a lasting positive impact. If I can do those things, the financial success will just simply be a byproduct
