Daily Inspiration: Meet William Adkins

Today we’d like to introduce you to William Adkins.

Hi William, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started in a career change leaving healthcare and finding the opportunity of working for myself to be more applicable for more time with my son and family. I found that working for myself allowed me more freedom and the ability to take on as much or as little work as necessary I started about 4 years ago and I’ve been going strong since.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting out it was slow getting clients but through the years it has been beneficial in my client base has grown.

The hardest thing is keeping up with other competition that may not have the certifications, licenses, or insurance like myself.

Also having continuous good workers has been a small challenge but has been something that I was able to get over and continue to have to date.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We specialize in property maintenance for Farmers ranchers and homeowners as well as providing defensible space plans and taking care of people’s animals.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
We have not taken too many risks and that is a big thing that I try and keep low risk and liability.
