Exploring Life & Business with Jeana Bingaman of White Barn Estate llc.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeana Bingaman.

Hi Jeana, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
White Barn Estate’s story really begins in 1864, when the property was first homesteaded. Growing up, this place held an almost mythical quality in our community — it was the dream property everyone admired, known for its immaculate grounds, gorgeous flowers, a classic farmhouse, and of course, the big white barn that gives our venue its name.

My in-laws owned the 151 acres surrounding the 9-acre parcel at the heart of it all. After I got married, they purchased that surrounding land, and years later my husband and I were able to purchase the 9-acre parcel itself, finally reuniting the property as it was always meant to be. Our goal was simple: bring it back to what it once was.

We didn’t have a grand plan when we bought it — just a deep connection to the land and a desire to restore something special. Growing up on a farm gave me the skills and instincts to do the work, and slowly we brought the property back to life.

As for becoming an event space — that was never my plan. That was God’s plan. I believe we are here to steward this land, and that He chooses its caretakers. A friend asked about hosting a birthday party. Then another friend’s antique store was closing and we hosted a sale. It started before I even realized it had started.

And what a gift it has been. We get to share this beautiful space, unite families, and help create joyful memories that last a lifetime.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Smooth? Not even a little — and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I started White Barn Estate from the ground up with absolutely no experience in the event or venue industry. I was a farm girl who knew how to operate equipment and landscape, and everything else I had to research and figure out through trial, error, and a lot of failing forward.

One of the biggest lessons this journey has taught me is that “venue owner” is really just shorthand for about twenty different jobs. I’ve been the landscaper, the housekeeper, the pest control, the plumber, the electrician, and the garbage lady — sometimes all in the same week. It’s humbling, and honestly? I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

This is a unique industry that keeps me on my toes, and I am continually learning and pushing forward. Every challenge has shaped not just the business, but who I am as a person and as a steward of this land.

We’ve been impressed with White Barn Estate llc. , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
White Barn Estate is a truly full-service event venue nestled on a historic 160-acre property that was first homesteaded in 1864. Set against the backdrop of rolling farmland, manicured grounds, and our iconic big white barn, the estate offers an experience that simply cannot be replicated.

We host everything from weddings and bridal showers to corporate retreats, award banquets, and company dinners. We also take great pride in serving our local community organizations — groups like FFA, the Oregon Hunters Association, and Friends of Children have all called White Barn home for their gatherings. If there’s something worth celebrating or commemorating, we want to be the place where it happens.

What sets us apart is something that’s hard to put into words. There is an indescribable peace that you feel the moment you enter the grounds at White Barn Estate. It is a space meant to be shared — to bring families and friends together, to unite people, and to create joyful memories that last a lifetime. Love is our most precious gift from God, and that spirit is woven into everything we do here.

I am also grateful to have Kari, of KW Wedding Events, as an integral part of the White Barn Estate family. Her passion for creating beautiful celebrations aligns perfectly with everything White Barn stands for, and I am proud to have her as our resident wedding planner.

Our partnership extends beyond the barn as well — our two families are joining together on an exciting upcoming venture, Mt. Emily Car Wash. It is a natural extension of a friendship and trust that was built right here at White Barn Estate.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I would be remiss not to mention the foundation that makes White Barn Estate possible — agriculture. We are a six-generation family farm, and it is agriculture dollars that built this land and made this dream a reality. Agriculture is the backbone of our community, and White Barn Estate exists because of it. We never lose sight of that.

White Barn Estate is here to serve — and that extends far beyond our own gates. Every event we host brings people to our area, supporting local hotels, restaurants, gas stations, and small businesses. We are proud to champion local vendors — the talented caterers, photographers, videographers, florists, and so many others who make each event truly special. The talent in our region is extraordinary, and together we are building something remarkable.

It is humbling to be part of a community like this. We are simply grateful to steward this land, share this space, and play a small role in something much greater than ourselves.
