Today we’d like to introduce you to Antonio Diaz.
Antonio, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My friend, Casto Moreno, started this business over 20 years ago, and we were involved from day one. I later began working for Casto and learned how to make all of the products. In 2018, he decided it was time to move on and transitioned the business to my brother and me. Ever since then, we have put as much love into it as he did from the very beginning.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
For the most part, it has been a good journey, thanks to a lot of hard work. Running a business is never easy, but we certainly cannot complain and we have a great community.
As you know, we’re big fans of OME CALLI FROZEN TREATS. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We are an ice cream shop that offers a little more than ice cream. we used the freshest cream and local fruits to make decadent ice creams, sherbets, and paletas (frozen bars) for the pilgrims, locals, and visitors of our grand city that were looking for a cool treat.
We’ve brought our traditional recipes and flavors over 2000 miles North to the lovely state of Oregon to share our unique goodies with you. The Pacific Northwest has inspired us to recreate some local flavors to add to our roster of traditional Mexican offerings.
