I started City Slick Mobile Car Detailing because I saw an opportunity to build something of my own while I was in college. What started as a small side business has grown into a full mobile detailing company serving Corvallis, Albany, Salem, and surrounding areas. I’ve put a lot of time into building the business from the ground up — from learning the craft and investing in equipment to building our brand, website, and customer base. Today, our goal is simple: provide an extremely convenient, high-quality detailing experience and continue growing City Slick into one of the most trusted detailing companies in the Willamette Valley.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been balancing school, running the business, and constantly finding ways to improve. We’ve also dealt with equipment issues, scheduling problems, slow periods, and the uncertainty that comes with building a business from the ground up. There have been plenty of times where things didn’t go as planned, but every challenge has taught us something and pushed us to become better business owners. Learning how to manage customers, finances, marketing, operations, and growth all at once has probably been the biggest learning experience.
