Hi Kelsey, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Olivia and I actually started out at our husbands’ company picnic. We were sitting on a bench chatting about our mutual love for design and showing each other photos of our latest home projects. As the conversation turned toward interior design and home staging, the spark ignited—and the idea for Sage and Pine was born!
We officially launched in November of 2025, and business has been building steadily ever since. Our goal is to provide distinctive home staging that enhances a property’s unique character and charm.
The absolute best part of this journey has been what it’s done for our friendship. We’ve always been friends, but navigating this business together has brought us so much closer. We’re both naturally wired to keep grinding and pushing for that next level, both in life and in business, which is exactly why we click so well. Having that built-in, constant support system while we build our dream has been pretty rad
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Olivia had been a real estate agent for several years before starting Sage and Pine, so she brought a natural business acumen to the table. I, on the other hand, come from a teaching background and have never run a business before. Because of that mix, we’ve definitely hit some natural bumps and growing pains along the way. However, every bump in the road has turned into an amazing learning opportunity, allowing us to pivot, grow, persevere, and find success!

Sage and Pine is a true labor of love. Coming to work each day has been exciting and incredibly fulfilling for me. My business partner, Olivia, and I created Sage and Pine as a way to channel our creative energy into something impactful! (And honestly, my husband was getting a little tired of me completely redesigning our own house every single week, so starting this company was a win for everyone involved.)
We specialize in and are known for creating clean, calming spaces that enhance the natural, architectural character of a home. We offer a signature aesthetic where modern design seamlessly meets cozy, intentional living. What really sets us apart is that we bring a fun, fresh flair to the staging world alongside highly competitive pricing.
Statistically, staged homes sell 73% faster than vacant homes and for significantly higher prices, and we take pride in helping potential buyers truly imagine their lives unfolding in a space. Beyond traditional home staging, we also love doing interior design for offices, residential homes, and my absolute favorite, Airbnbs and boutique furnished rentals. Ultimately, we want readers to know that we are here to make the design and staging process approachable, beautiful, and strategically tailored to maximize a property’s potential.

Bend is an absolute dream of a place to live! There are endless outdoor activities right at our doorstep. Olivia and I love taking full advantage of everything Central Oregon has to offer, whether we’re mountain biking, rock climbing, paddle boarding, skiing, snowboarding, or just soaking up those sunny, happy Bend vibes. Bend rules!
