Today we’d like to introduce you to Tristan Platt.
Hi Tristan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Growing up in a racing family, Cars have always been my passion. My Professional journey starting at 15 years old in 2015. I worked at and managed two different Local Detailing shops before starting Platt Precision in 2024.
My main goal with Platt Precision is create a positive impact in our community while providing the highest quality services Imaginable. We offer High end Detailing, Dent removal, Paint correction, And we are certified in the highest level of ceramic coatings in the world.
In December of 2018, I lost my father to suicide as well as losing friends from school. This lit a fire underneath me to spread love everywhere I go and is why we donate 5% of ALL our proceeds go to local suicide prevention. That fuels our community impact events and we try to identify individuals or families who simple need a little extra help. Whether it’s funds for housing/food, or lending an ear to talk to, we strive to create a safe space for everyone.
In just two years, we have raised over $7000 for suicide prevention/awareness.
As we grow, we plan to become a staple in our community as well as providing the best treatments for your vehicles.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not. Losing my dad in 2018 was a huge blindside. Nobody knew, no warnings were pursued, And I lost my #1 hero in my life. There was a 3-year period where I simply didn’t have the heart or motivation to do what I do today. Luckily, I am surrounded by super supportive and loving family members and friends which helped me grow out of my slump. I knew starting this business whilst donating 5% was a risk, but I couldn’t let that stop me from helping others and building something that I’m proud of.
We’ve been impressed with Platt Precision, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are known for Being the epitome of quality with our services. We are in a very competitive market, so standing out and going the extra mile is the only way towards success. We offer Detailing, Dent Removal, Rock Chip/Scratch Repair, Paint Correction, and world exclusive ceramic coatings. We also have a fully stocked detail supply store within our shop. We are located at 2771 e 9th street right next to the airport. We love our fun location.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
That kindness and love is the ONLY way to feel truly successful. There is too much hate in this world.
Take your time to do things right the FIRST time.
Everyone has something pulling them down in life.
