Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Lindley.
Hi Brian, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Psilocybin helped me on my own healing journey. I felt called to make this available to others that could benefit. I joined the campaign to make psilocybin legal in Oregon. Started a Service Center in Ashland Oregon and in the three years that we have been in operation have helped over 1800 clients. We partner with The Heroic Hearts Project and the TACP Air Force special forces veterans. Both programs are extensive in their scope and support for Veterans with cPTSD.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Operating a Service Center under the legal framework is very challenging. In early 2025 there were 32 service centers, I believe there are now 18-19 still open. The challenges are many. Revenue, having enough clients, banking, mortgage, professional liability insurance, social media marketing getting shut down, SB-303 tax code for trafficking a schedule one substance, merchant services, OPS rules, regulations, SB-303 data reporting, annual inspections and renewals. Each one of these aspects have their own special restrictions or bureaucratic elements that adds to making this a difficult business to run. But, we fight these battles for the cause.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We are very intentional in this work. In the facilitators we hire, to the program we designed, to the container we set, everything is done to ensure the client has a positive and impactful experience. This can be one of the most significant experiences on one’s life and it must be treated as such. We are not the typical rental model where facilitators simply show up on journey day, rent the space and then leave. We have a dedicated team of facilitators that learn and grow together which reflects our values and brand.
We specialize in individual journeys, and our passion is Veterans Retreats. We partner with the Heroic Hearts Project and the TACP Air Force special forces veterans.
What matters most to you? Why?
Providing psilocybin services to those who need it in the most ethical and professional way possible. Why? anyone can lay down and eat mushrooms, obviously. The difference in their potential outcome is the container surrounding the experience. The preparation, set and setting, the facilitator, the actual mushroom itself, knowledge around dosing, integration, and providing the mindfulness techniques that can improve one’s mental health moving forward.
