Jacob, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started doing handyman projects, now I own a small plumbing entity. very small still. the area is growing though.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
NO, many failures. The biggest obstacle I’ve faced has been finding business partners, contractors, and clients to work for/with that I can actually trust, especially after navigating three separate business entities, including my old remodeling company, Gantzer Bros. The most recent breakdown with this business was a massive blow, where my last partner completely lied and cleaned out the profits he appeared to have money issues and personal problems. Having to pick up the pieces and remove him taught me the hardest, most valuable lesson of my career: working with honest people is the only true way to be successful. You can have all the skills in the world, but if there isn’t raw integrity behind the scenes, it will always fall apart. That betrayal completely shifted my focus to running a tight solo operation where I personally control the honesty and quality of the work. Overcoming that setback has been an uphill battle, but it has only made me more determined to prove that doing things the right way, with total transparency, is what builds real, lasting success.

I am just a local guy who loves helping out my neighbors here in Beaverton. I handle all the usual plumbing stuff, from annoying clogged toilets to big projects like full home repipes, water heaters, and sewer camera scopes. Honestly, what I am best known for is just being the person people call when they are totally stressed out by a late-night plumbing emergency and need someone they can trust. What sets me apart is that I treat your home exactly like I would treat my own—I don’t do messy work, I don’t cut corners, and I don’t use confusing sales talk. I am most proud of my 5-star reviews, especially when customers call me out by name, Jake, because they felt comfortable having me in their house. What makes you happy?
Honestly, what makes me happiest is just the everyday joy of being a father—it is the best job I have ever had. I have five amazing kids—Oceana, Adriana, Gunner, Striker, and Israelana—and watching them grow into really good people is my absolute pride and joy. I love staying active and involved in their lives, whether we are out hiking and fishing, or bonding through sports like coaching wrestling for the Aloha Youth Program and cheering on my oldest son on the TRUE Oregon traveling lacrosse team. The kids even train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with me, too. When I am at work, I get that same sense of happiness and fulfillment from working with my hands and seeing a job well done. There is nothing better than taking a stressful plumbing mess, fixing it right, and knowing I took care of a neighbor. Balancing that hard work during the day with being there for my kids through every stage of life is exactly what keeps me happy and grounded. If it wasn’t difficult I wouldn’t enjoy it !
