Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Case.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
New Owners to Collector Market
David and Lisa took over the store on Jan 1, 2026
Lisa has been a vendor at Collectors Market since 2020 and has loved the store from the beginning. Lisa Retired from social work, David retired from providence Hospice.
We have truly enjoyed cleaning and updating the store.., and love getting to know all the vendors.
David and Lisa have a large family, 5 children and 16 grandchildren, When you come to the store you’ll see street signs on each isle, each isle is named after a grand child.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There will always be struggles with change, and since the store was in desperate need of updating there has been some struggles to get some parts of the store to the standard we would like.
In January we purchased a new Point of sale program to be able to give better customer service, that program was a disaster, it was sent back to them. We did a few moths of research and found what has turned out to be a much better fit to our store.
Since we have 140 vendors here at the store we have all had to learn the new systems, but we are all learning the ropes of our new system.
We’ve been impressed with Collectors Market, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Collectors Market has been around since 1998 it was located in White City, Originally our store was known as Crafters Market booth. The store was a mix of handmade items, Around 2005 is when the name and location was changed. The store has been a fixture her in Medford since the relocation and name change to Collectors Market, we still have homemade gifts, but now we are much more eclectic. We sell Antiques, Vintage items, retro items and previously loved furniture. we have 140 vendors who bring in items almost daily. Some of our vendors have been here at the store for 20 plus years. We have very knowable vendors who curate many collectable items. We have also add a space for furniture consignment in the new Briggs Mining room.
We love to see the younger generations come in, many are now collectors themselves.
Our store is a great family outing , a great place for a date. We have many loyal customer that comes in some times weekly, monthly.
We have had the privilege of meeting many travelers, and also other dealers that shop in our store for their booths and stores.
How do you think about happiness?
We have enjoyed seeing the excitement from vendors and customers when they find the elusive item, that they have been looking for. Seeing customer reminiscing when they see something that Grandma had in her her house, Or the young people who come in and ask question about how an item was used for.
Being collectors our self this has been a joy to have a community of collectors that we can gain knowledge from.
Our oldest Vendor Harry is 94, Our youngest vendor Gavin will be 8 in July.
