Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaclyn Rae.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Using Allergies to Fuel Change: Jaclyn Rae’s Path From Adversity to Achievement
For readers of Oregon Voyager Magazine, the story of Jaclyn Creations is ultimately a story of healing that turned into infrastructure, personal research that evolved into programs, products, and purposeful community impact.
Long before certifications, cookbooks, or retail shelves, Jaclyn Rae, a third-generation Oregonian, was a young girl growing up on a horse farm alongside six siblings. Surrounded by animals and wide open land, she developed an early love for nature, care taking, and responsibility. Yet even in that vibrant household, she stood apart in one significant way, she was the only child navigating severe food allergies that, at times, required hospitalization and continued to affect her well being well into her 20s. While her siblings ate freely, Jaclyn learned early that food required caution, awareness, and adaptation. That experience planted the seeds for both resilience and inquiry.
Her journey eventually centered around one defining question: how do I support my body? Living with complex autoimmune disease, a history of Lyme disease, digestive challenges, and long-standing food sensitivities, she immersed herself in research, not casually, but rigorously. She studied functional nutrition, gut health, inflammation science, and lifestyle medicine, determined to understand root causes rather than mask symptoms. That pursuit led her to become certified in Nutritional Therapy, grounding her lived experience in science-based education.
Like many navigating complex health experiences, Jaclyn faced periods of pain, fatigue, brain fog, joint discomfort, digestive imbalance, inflammation, skin sensitivities, and fluctuating energy. Through gradual nutritional adjustments, including incorporating more whole-food, plant-forward meals, raw vegan recipes, and emphasizing brain–gut resilience alongside mineral-rich, alkaline-supportive ingredients, she began to feel greater stability and alignment in her own body. She does not present her work as medical treatment, but as nutritional education designed to complement professional healthcare and support informed lifestyle choices.
What followed was more than coaching, it was a question of construction: how do you turn personal experience and nutritional insight into systems that truly help people? Jaclyn began building structured, evidence-informed wellness programs designed to translate complex nutritional science into practical, everyday routines. Her goal was clear: create solutions that people could realistically sustain. Programs focused on gut health, plant-based nourishment, label literacy, metabolic balance, and daily habit formation. Rather than offering generalized advice, she developed frameworks to guide lasting change.
Coaching came first, working one-on-one with individuals and families who, like her, were searching for answers. But cookbooks soon became the cornerstone. More than collections of recipes, they are lifestyle guides, each reflecting nourishment as a foundation: simple, intentional meals designed to stabilize energy, support digestion, and promote long-term wellness. Through self-publishing, her cookbooks reached readers worldwide, serving as accessible entry points into deeper, mindful transformation.
Clients consistently highlight how Jaclyn’s guidance empowers them to make informed, sustainable choices for their health and wellness. One client navigating the long-term effects of Lyme disease found that personalized meal planning and nutritional education helped stabilize energy, ease digestive discomfort, and improve clarity, while another managing autoimmune-related fatigue praised Jaclyn for translating complex nutrition science into practical, actionable strategies that supported daily well-being. A third described her coaching as transformative, noting that her programs, cookbooks, and one-on-one guidance provided the structure, awareness, and confidence needed to build lasting, intentional habits. While outcomes vary and professional care remains essential, these experiences reflect the value of education, structure, and nourishing, life force guidance in supporting broader wellness journeys.
From there, her vision expanded.
When the world shut down, Jaclyn turned challenge into opportunity, bringing movement, mindfulness, and nutrition back to the community. She designed dual wellness programs and retreats, intentionally employing gym owners, personal trainers, yogis, and holistic practitioners who shared her vision. By prioritizing collaboration over competition, she created meaningful work for local professionals while offering participants holistic, accessible experiences that integrate movement, mindfulness, and nutrition, supporting both individuals and the broader wellness community.
Product development followed, born from personal necessity. Seeking balanced breakfast options aligned with her dietary needs, she developed offerings that met her standards for simplicity and nourishment. What began as a personal solution evolved into a soft launch in Portland, Oregon, where her locally and organically sourced, nutrient-dense, raw vegan and gluten-free offerings began appearing in local retail spaces.
Scaling into retail required navigating sourcing, compliance, packaging, and vendor partnerships. Yet for Jaclyn, it remains about more than shelf presence. She supports local retail initiatives, works through consignment partnerships with neighborhood coffee shops and community co-ops, and prioritizes strengthening Oregon’s small business ecosystem. Access remains central to her mission, not only through retail, but through community outreach. By partnering with school pantries and local initiatives, she helps increase availability of nourishing meal options for students and families, reinforcing her belief that access to wholesome food should be equitable.
In addition to her wellness initiatives, Jaclyn offers notary services, reflecting her belief that entrepreneurship can serve communities in multiple ways. Health, documentation, education, and small business support all contribute to resilient local ecosystems.

For Oregon Voyager readers, Jaclyn Creations stands as proof that when purpose is nurtured patiently, it doesn’t just heal one life. It builds ecosystems.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’ve faced severe food allergies since childhood, sometimes requiring hospitalization, and later navigated autoimmune disease, chronic Lyme disease, digestive sensitivities, brain fog, pain, fatigue, and joint discomfort. These challenges taught me early how to adapt, troubleshoot, and problem-solve for my own health.
Turning that experience into action meant navigating the complexities of developing wellness programs, creating plant-forward products, and scaling into retail, managing sourcing, compliance, and building sustainable systems while maintaining quality and accessibility.
Each step required persistence, learning from setbacks, and continuously refining solutions.
Through it all, I’ve applied these problem-solving skills to create science-informed, practical strategies that empower myself and others to build lasting, intentional wellness.
