Rising Stars: Meet Crista And Jeremy Bredemeier, Wood of Oregon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Crista And Jeremy Bredemeier, Wood.

Hi Crista and Jeremy, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
The Main Squeeze started with a simple love for health, fresh food, and helping people feel their best. What began as making juices for friends and family gradually grew into something bigger as more people started asking for them and sharing their own health journeys with us.

Over time, that passion turned into a dream of creating a space where our community could easily access fresh, raw juice and healthy options. With a lot of hard work, support from family, friends, and our community, that dream became The Main Squeeze.

Today, we’re focused on providing fresh juice, encouraging healthy choices, and creating a welcoming place where people can stop in, connect, and take a step toward feeling their best.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been surprising smooth most of the time but it hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Like many small business owners, we’ve faced financial challenges, unexpected expenses, delays, and a steep learning curve while figuring out permits, equipment, and everything that goes into opening a business.

One of the biggest challenges has been staying patient when things don’t happen as quickly as we’d hoped. There have been moments when it felt like every time we checked one thing off the list, two more things appeared. But those challenges have also taught us resilience and reminded us why we started in the first place.

What has kept us going is the incredible support from our family, friends, local businesses, and community. Every obstacle has made us more grateful and even more determined to create something positive for Pendleton.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
At The Main Squeeze, we specialize in fresh, raw juice made with simple, real ingredients. Our goal is to make healthy choices more accessible and enjoyable for people in our community.

What we’re most proud of isn’t necessarily the juice itself—it’s the impact it has on people’s lives. One of the moments that stands out most was when a friend shared that her nonverbal son, who is extremely selective about what he eats and typically avoids fruits and vegetables, was willing to try and enjoy our juices. Seeing something so simple make a meaningful difference for a family is incredibly rewarding.

We hope to be known for more than just healthy drinks. We want to be known for encouraging healthier habits, supporting our community, and creating a welcoming space where people feel cared for. What sets us apart is that we genuinely celebrate our customers’ victories, whether it’s choosing a juice over a soda, trying something new, or taking a small step toward better health. Those moments are what make this work so meaningful to us.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson we’ve learned is that community is everything. When we started this journey, we thought we were opening a juice bar. What we’ve discovered is that we’re really building relationships.

We’ve learned that people genuinely want to support one another. From local businesses and friends to customers cheering us on, we’ve been reminded over and over that we don’t have to do everything alone.

We’ve also learned that progress is more important than perfection. There were plenty of challenges, delays, and moments when things didn’t go according to plan, but every small step forward mattered. Looking back, we’re grateful not only for how far we’ve come, but for the people we’ve met and the encouragement we’ve received along the way.
