Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicol Alcain.
Hi Nicol, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
We moved from the east coast a few years ago. Kazuki has been adventuring with us since he was a kitten. He has traveled through most of the United States and several times to Mexico and Canada. We have gone camping and road tripping and enjoy hiking a lot. Kazuki enjoys a milder climate so moving out here gives us more opportunity to be outside and visit cooler climates. We took a month long road trip this summer through Canada to explore several parts of Alaska. It was quite the experience.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Kazuki does not like waterfalls or loud running water and we are a family of waterfall lovers. We often use a backpack so he feels safe so we can enjoy them. That is usually the only obstacle as we do plan cat friendly trips for the most part or he stays back at the hotel or Airbnb for a day while we do something he does not enjoy
