Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I first picked up a camera in journalism class in high school. While I loved capturing fun moments during school events, it wasn’t until I got married and had kids that photography really took ahold of me. I wanted time to stop. I wanted my sweet babies to stay little forever, and the only way I found to do that was through photography. Soon after, I had friends and family asking me to capture their lives and love stories. I realized my passion for capturing the little moments needed to be shared with others.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not! This started as a hobby. I worked a desk job for years while building this business because I was terrified to take this all of the way. I needed to be able to support my family and I was worried I wouldn’t be enough. Self doubt was my biggest obstacle. You really have to believe in yourself to work for yourself.

I am a wedding and elopement photographer. My speciality is capturing the in between moments. The little things that you may not notice, grandma crying, or your new husband admiring his ring for the first time. I am able to be both a friend, and a professional on your big day. I’ll sew up the rip in your dress, and break it down on the dance floor with you. I’m able to keep the timeline on track without feeling like you can’t enjoy your wedding. I’m most proud of the fact that after the wedding, my clients come back. Or they recommend me to others. That’s the biggest compliment I can get.
